Most of our toilet seats are madeof thermodur, a highly resistant plastic material with excellent antibacterial properties. Seats made from other materials have similar functional qualities, so the same cleaning and maintenance recommendations apply.
Use a soap-based solution or a neutral detergent and apply it with a cloth or sponge. Rinse with water and dry with a clean cloth. Avoid abrasive materials and products containing bleach, as these can damage the materials over time. Make it a habit to leave the seat raised, especially after use and cleaning, to allow chemical agents to evaporate and help preserve the surface.
Regularly check the condition and tightness of the seat hinges. If your seat has a soft-close mechanism that is no longer functioning properly, you may need to adjust or replace the hinges.
